About Anne Marie
Anne Marie Runnels is a communications and research coach specializing in nonprofits. She earned her Master’s in Applied Learning and Instruction from the University of Central Florida. Anne Marie has over ten years of experience working in the nonprofit and educational sectors.
Nonprofit Experience: Anne Marie has worked for twelve years, nine of which she has spent with the International School Project, serving in various roles, including the Communications Director, Research Director, and Assistant to the Executive Director. She continues to volunteer with ISP on a regular basis specializing in telling changed-life stories, introducing new communication strategies, highlighting ministry impact, and engaging donors and volunteers. These efforts have enabled ISP to obtain funding from new financial partners, earn grants from foundations, and engage new volunteers. Today, ISP engages over 500 volunteers each year in their efforts to reach thousands of teachers and their students.
Statistical Expertise: Anne Marie also works as an Evaluation Advisor with REC (Research Evaluation Consulting). Her affiliation with REC gives her access to high-quality evaluation/research services. She brings expertise in many areas including literature reviews, survey development, data collection, quantitative analysis of data, and report preparation. Anne Marie’s previous research has incorporated rigorous quantitative methods focusing on nonprofit evaluation, cultural issues in education and the evaluation of a school-based curriculum, specifically prevention programs targeting adolescent substance abuse.
Her Mission: Anne Marie is passionate about helping nonprofits, schools, and faith-based organizations cast vision to new partners through stories or statistics. Her heart is to equip nonprofits to build capacity, demonstrate their impact, and build partner engagement.
